McDonald’s Meadowdale pampers the young and old in Primrose

Local businesses touch base with local residents.

McDonald’s Meadowdale visited Rest-A-While Service Centre in Primrose where they offered free haircuts to the public and showered elders and young people with gifts.

The elderly played bingo and the prizes were sponsored by Mcdonald’s.

Each one also received a pair of socks and a key holder.

Children received their share of gifts on July 14.

Trudy Carreira, the centre manager said it was great to see businesses in the community spending time with members of the community.

“We invited the community at large to get free cuts and mingle with the McDonald team. They also have something planned for us for Mandela Day,” said Carreira.

“It is important for us to partner with businesses because we are an NPO and depend on donations,” she said.

“Yes, we are semi-subsidised by the government, but the rest of the money we have to fundraise to cover costs. Partnering with local businesses helps us provide for our residents,” said Carreira.
