Suspect shot during business robbery in Kempton Park
It is alleged that an unknown number of suspects entered at a butchery in Kempton Park and held the staff at gunpoint.
A man alleged to be a business robbery suspect was shot in the lower body.

According to Captain Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, it is alleged the suspect was not alone during the robbery on the afternoon of June 23.
“It is alleged that an unknown number of suspects entered a butchery in Kempton Park and held the staff at gunpoint before taking an undisclosed amount of cash and personal cellphones of the staff,” said Mtshali.
“The suspects did not notice that they were being watched by the security personnel who responded.
“It is alleged that a shooting ensued between the suspects and the security personnel, which resulted in one of the suspects being shot.”

Mtshali added that the alleged suspect was taken to the hospital under police guards.
“The other suspects fled the scene and police are still looking for them and appeal to anyone with information to contact them on 08600 10111,” added Mtshali.
“The suspect will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court soon on business robbery charges.”
