Volunteer at Brainy Birds
“Although we need helping hands, we specifically need volunteers who can spare time during the week,” said Dee.
Brainy Birds Parrot Rescue invited community members of all ages to join the organisation’s family and become volunteers.

As the organisation continues to grow, founder of the NPO Dee Hendrickx said more volunteers are needed.
“Although we need helping hands, we specifically need volunteers who can spare time during the week,” said Dee.
Although the organisation has several staff members, it relies on the help of volunteers.
While lending a hand at the NPO, volunteers will be expected to get their hands dirty and work around the property.
Dee said volunteer work will depend on what needs to be done around the property.
However, basic work will include providing birds with clean water and fresh food, cutting fruit and vegetables, cleaning cages, providing toys to the birds and transporting them to the vet when they are ill.
