Body of a man found near old age home in Thembisa

"The victim's body had cut wounds to his upper body and bruises on his torso," said Mgijimi.

Thembisa SAPS members were called to a scene on March 16, where the body of a 23-year-old man was found.

According to Const Patricia Mgijimi, spokesperson for Thembisa SAPS, the body was found not far from the Thembisa Old Age Home in Seotlwana Section.

“The victim’s body had cut wounds to his upper body and bruises on his torso. He was found half-naked, with his sneakers next to him,” said Mgijimi.

“He was identified by his mother, who doesn’t live far from the scene. The eyewitness saw an unknown group of six men and three women assaulting the deceased the night before his body was found.”

In a separate incident, the body of a man, between the ages of 30 and 32, was found in Winnie Mandela Zone 8.

“He was naked and had no visible injuries,” said Mgijimi.

“Both bodies were transported to the Germiston Pathology Services.”
