Flying squad recovers four vehicles

Benoni Flying Squad officers apprehended two suspects and recovered four vehicles in Thembisa between January 21 and 23.

Members arrested a suspect for drug possession while drugs were confiscated in Rabie Ridge.

“A victim of domestic violence stopped members on patrol in Thembisa’s Illiliba Section, resulting in the arrest of a suspect for assault,” said communications officer WO Grant Giblin.

Giblin said that four abandoned vehicles were recovered, which included a silver Honda Ballade at Oakmore taxi rank, a grey Volkswagen Polo at Japonika Street in Ebony Park, a white Chevrolet in Ivory Park Extension Two and a white Toyota Hilux on R25 near the old Mopani shooting range.
