More than 200 arrested during Operation Okae Molao in Thembisa

During another successful Operation Okae Molao, Thembisan Police detained many criminal suspects and recovered a variety of illegal products.

October 27 saw 264 suspects apprehended by detectives during Operation Okae Molao in Thembisa.

Suspects were arrested for crimes such as assault, domestic violence, rape, sexual assault and armed robbery.

Eighty-two suspects were apprehended for offences such as unlawful mining, theft, fraud, pointing a firearm at someone and reckless driving whilst 19 arrests were made for property-related crimes.

These included house burglary, house robbery, business robbery, possession of stolen property and theft from motor vehicles.

Ekurhuleni District Commissioner Maj-Gen Anna Sithole commended police members on the success of the operation.
