Bulls announce squad for Italy tour
Bulls touring squad announced.
Vodacom Bulls has confirmed that they are the country’s best team after winning the Rainbow Cup and will travel to Treviso, Italy, on June 19 to play Benetton in the PRO 14 Rainbow Cup decider.
The finals are a forerunner to the PRO16, which is where the top four South African franchises, the Bulls, Stormers, Sharks and Lions compete. It will start in September.
The Bulls will be favourites even though they are playing on Benetton’s home ground. They will be carrying the weight of heavy expectation as the resurgent Pretoria franchise looks to cross another frontier by adding an international title to the ones they’ve won in South Africa since the end of lockdown.
The Bulls have announced an exciting travelling squad to embark on their inaugural quest to Italy to be crowned possible champions. The 28-man #TrueToTheBlue travelling party will be headlined by new captain Marcell Coetzee and is made up of 16 forwards and 12 backs.
