New Peugeot 208 launches locally

Available in three trims, Active, Allure and GT, the all-new Peugeot 208 is fitted with a new front bumper.

Peugeot South Africa is introducing its all-new 208 to the local market that lurks a sharper identity. 

Available in three trims, Active, Allure and GT, the all-new Peugeot 208 is fitted with a new front bumper, wider, fully integrated grille, fang effect daytime running lights plus new two-tone headlights. 

The front fog lights have been tweaked. The GT models receive gloss black mirror covers, gloss black wheel arches and a set of 15-inch, 16-inch and 17-inch can be had as per the trim level. 

For better performance and efficiency, Peugeot has fitted with 208 with 2 Spoilers, also trim dependant.  The rear is fitted with a redesigned lion-claw-motif as well as LED lights. 

The GT model gets a lion-claw-motif design as well as full LED headlights.

More than just colour options, the 208 palette offers a fresh choice of stylish finishes, including solid, metallic, and pearlescent. 

The interior is bolstered with the brand’s 3rd generation Peugeot i-Cockpit plus the now-familiar compact steering wheel and a 3D-Digital heads-up instrument panel. The other feature includes a 10-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. 

The 208 Active is fitted with a PureTech 3-cylinder engine available in a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre engine with 55 kW of power while the Allure Manual gets the 1.2-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder units with 74 kW.

The Allure Automatic and range-topping GT models are powered by the turbocharged 1.2-litre three-pot engine with 96 kW.

Safety comes courtesy of Road Signs and Markings Recognition, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Alert, Automatic Switching Headlights, Hill Start Assist, Active Safety Brake and Visiopark 1.
