NSPCA wins the Beame Car for Charity competition

MiX Telematics handed over a 2019 Ford Figo 1.5 Ambiente Hatch to the Florentia-based NSPCA on November 20.

MiX Telematics announced the NSPCA as the winner of the Beame Win a Car for Charity competition.

MiX Telematics is a global Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider of connected fleet and mobile asset management solutions.

On November 20, they handed over a 2019 Ford Figo 1.5 Ambiente Hatch to the Florentia-based NSPCA. The public had an opportunity to nominate their favourite charity, one who contributes positively and plays an active role in their communities.

Following an intensive selection process, the NSPCA was chosen as the ultimate winner.

This was motivated by a need to ensure the NSPCA continues with its work of caring and protecting animals.

Gert Pretorius, executive vice-president and MD at MiX Telematics Africa, said: “Not only will the organisation receive the Ford Figo but we will also ensure the car is covered with our Beame stolen vehicle recovery service. We are very proud to announce the NSPCA as the winning NPO.”

Pretorius commended the work done by NSPCA across the country in improving the lives of animals. He also said the car will include many features.

“NSPCA shows compassion and respect for animals in the communities that they serve. The car is fitted with a Matrix tracking device, giving the NSPCA access to all the safety and security benefits Matrix has to offer, for peace of mind while doing their great work around the country,” he said.

Esté Kotzé, deputy CEO for the NSPCA, said winning this prize meant they can now reach and assist more animals in need across the country.

“We have been in the business of loving and protecting animals for over 60 years. It is overwhelming to see our community recognises our efforts and helps in every way possible to support the cause. They have done so through donations, reporting animal cruelty and in competitions such as this from MiX Telematics,” she said.

Kotzé thanked everyone who nominated the organisation and extended a special appreciation to MiX Telematics for the car. She also thanked the lifetime subscription to their tracking and recovery services.
