Six suspects arrested for possession of drugs

Johannesburg Flying Squad members arrested six suspects for possession of drugs in different areas in Johannesburg and recovered five vehicles from November 13 to 16.

Among the six suspects, two were arrested in Brixton, Collins Road, two in Mayfair, Railway Road, one in Eden Park Phase 4 and one in Diepkloof, Myeza Road.

The following were recovered hijacked from their owners: a white Hyundai Accent, grey Ford Fiesta, and a white Toyota Hilux. A white Toyota Tazz and white Mercedes Benz were recovered stolen.

Johannesburg Flying Squad communications officer, Raymond Sambo, said investigation continues in all cases.

“Working together with the community led to these recoveries. SAPS appreciates the public for their contribution. It should also be noted that any information regarding the vehicles, people may contact the relevant detective quoting the relevant case number.

“Six suspects aged between 30 and 35 appeared in different Magistrate Courts facing charges of possession of drugs,” he said.
