New Toyota C-HR GR Sport debuts with sharper looks

But confirmation of local introduction is not available at this time.

Toyota has debuted its sharper-looking C-HR GR Sport crossover and while this is only meant for the European market, Toyota South Africa has not confirmed if it will be available locally.

On the outside, the new Toyota C-HR GR Sport comes with a bespoke GR Sport kit that adds a black emblem background and headlight housings.

There is a piano black finish on the centre bumper as well as on around the fog lamps  The grille is finished in dark chrome while the new front spoiler is more aggressive.

On the side, there is a piano black door moulding that is complimented by unique 19-inch alloy wheels.

The rear is fitted with a black emblem background, piano black reflector surrounds plus a bespoke under-bumper trim garnish as well as a GR Sport logo.

The GR Sport is available in a choice of nine exclusive bi-tone colour schemes, including a new, model-unique Dynamic Grey finish with a black roof.

The interior comes with silver trimmings as well as a choice of Alcantara-trimmed leather or all-fabric seat upholstery, both enhanced by a GR-inspired Red and Grey stitching theme.

There is also a perforated leather steering wheel rim, red stitching accents to both the wheel rim and the gear lever gaiter, model unique scuff plates.

Rounding off the bespoke interior treatment is the GR Sport stop/start button and a GR start-up animation in the driver’s instrument binnacle TFT screen.

The GR Sport’s comprehensive equipment specification also includes privacy glass, smart entry, LED high beam headlamps and auto-fold door mirrors, whilst the list of the main options includes power operation and heating to the front seats and an outstanding JBL audio system.
