Blue Pea Country Market now open every weekend

Healthy produce, homemade delicacies, arts and crafts, clothing and unique products are all available.

Blue Pea Country Market is now situated inside the events area at Rietvlei Zoo Farm.

“This means we will have steady traffic all through the day and are no longer just dependant on the parkrun,” said organiser Charlene Moutinho.

Passionate about uplifting and helping others

“We are passionate about small, local businesses and helping people uplift themselves.”

The whole idea behind the market was to create a place where small entrepreneurs can sell their own produce, products or creations to the local community. Therby building their local economy.

“We believe charity starts at home, and therefore we should support our own, like local farmers, business people, chefs and artists. Which is why our slogan is: ‘Local is lekke!’

“We are proudly South African. We welcome each and every person who has the guts to start his own business, no matter in which industry it may fall. We are here to support and uplift our own community. Our passion is to help you achieve yours,” said Charlene.

Show your support

Set in the unique country surroundings of the Rietvlei Zoo Farm, the market comes to life every Saturday and Sunday morning from 8am to 3pm.

Healthy produce, homemade delicacies, arts and crafts, clothing and unique products are all available.

“Enjoy the delicious ready-to-eat food and wonderful family atmosphere. Bring your appetite and enjoy all that Blue Pea Country Market has to offer. Our venue is pet-friendly, so feel free to bring along your beloved canine family as well,” said Charlene.
