Five seriously injured in multi-vehicle collision on N17 Boksburg
ER24 paramedics and emergency services arrived at the scene at about 3pm
Five people sustained serious injuries following a three vehicle collision on the N17 in Boksburg on Sunday afternoon, May 31.
“When ER24 paramedics and emergency services arrived at the scene at about 3pm, the fire department had already pulled a couple in their 50s and their daughter in her 20s from one of the vehicles. They were assessed, treated and transported to a private hospital in the area,” said ER24 spokesperson Ross Campbell.
According to Campbell, the provincial services treated and transported one of the injured to a government hospital, and the fifth patient, a man in serious condition, was treated and transported to Thambo Memorial Hospital by another private service.
“Two others involved were unharmed and declined transport to hospital. The SAPS were also on the scene for further investigations,” said Campbell.
