Crowd enjoys Nubian Music Festival 2019

The third Nubian Music Festival returned, bigger and better.

The Nubian Music Festival 2019, held at Hartbeespoort over the long weekend, saw a crowd of over 5000 on their feet during performances by some of South Africa’s A-list artists, including Mi Casa, Lira, Amanda Black, Judith Sephuma, The Soil, Thandiswa Mazwai and KB Molopyane.

With the goal of promoting social togetherness and cultural tolerance, the festival was a four-day fusion of food, lifestyle and music, with family and friends having fun together and enjoying top-class entertainment.

Another festival highlight was Friday’s Comedy Night, featuring hysterical sets from top comedians, including Sammy Fever, Roni Modimola, Thapelo ‘King Flat’ Mametja, Khanyisa Bunu and Shampoonaiza.

“To see all the smiling faces, young and old, and everyone dancing – from the little kids to the grannies – just filled my heart with joy. This was the best crowd yet at the festival!” said Nubian Music Festival founder Mpho Mathope.
