New face for Toyota Avanza

Toyota SA introduced the first generation Avanza back in 2010 and since has gained modest popularity in the South African MPV segment.

The latest iteration of the Avanza TX variant has undergone some enhancements and the 7-seater has received some notable aesthetic and quality upgrades while the mechanical specifications remain unchanged. Up-front customers will notice a revised front bumper with vertical air-dams and fog-lamp garnishing while slightly higher up the front features new split-level LED-headlamps which is divided by body-coloured accent strip which also acts a border in between the chrome upper and black lower-grille sections.  Moving to the side we find turbine-shaped 15-inch alloy wheels while the roof features a shark-fin antenna.

At the rear, the Avanza received a new bumper while atop the tailgate you will find a new rear boot spoiler. A chrome accent strip covering the entire width of vehicle cuts into the revised taillamps, now featuring clear elements.  The Avanza is available in Tusk white, Quicksilver metallic, Graphite Grey and Gold Leaf metallic and new to the colour palette, Fervent Blue. The new exterior enhancements are only featured on the TX variant while the S and SX derivatives remain the same.

On the interior, customers will find a front and rear 12-volt socket fitted as standard. The light grey interior trim has also been substituted with a dark grey finish as per customer requests. Customers will also notice the rotary-dial-type HVAC controls having changed to push-button control and now with digital readout.

Warranty & Service

The Avanza TX are sold with a four-services/60 000 km service plan (twelve-month/15 000 km intervals) and three-year/100 000 km warranty.
