30-minute meals: Simple macaroni and cheese
This is a very quick and easy meal to dish up tonight.
This meal is both cheap and tasty.
You will need:
- One packet elbow macaroni.
- A quarter cup butter.
- A quarter cup all-purpose flour.
- Half a teaspoon salt.
- Ground black pepper to taste.
- Two cups milk.
- Two cups grated Cheddar cheese.

What to do:
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite. Drain.
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; stir in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth, about five minutes. Slowly pour milk into butter-flour mixture while continuously stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbling, about five minutes.
Add Cheddar cheese to milk mixture and stir until cheese is melted, two to four minutes. Â Fold macaroni into cheese sauce until coated.
