Enjoy a night of music with Cool Dads Foundation

The Cool Dads Foundation is set to host a fund-raising concert in February.

The Cool Dads Foundation is a non-profit organisation founded in 2012 by Bongani Luvalo and a network of friends.

The foundation was born out of a need for positive role models.

“The organisation was formed after the realisation that many fathers play very little part in the development and upbringing of their children,” said Bongani.

“We seek to address such issues in society and make a change.”

Like all non-profit organisations, Cool Dads Foundation is dependent on sponsors and donations to continue their work.

“Over the years the donor funding has decreased enormously and it makes it more difficult for us to fulfil our mandate,” he said.

To raise some much-needed funds the foundation will be hosting a Valentine’s Day concert at Carnival City on February 14.

The aptly named Love Potion will kick off at 7pm and will see the musical talents of the effervescent Amanda Black, soulful Sjava and vibrant Mlindo.

“We look forward to making this night one to remember, for both lovers of music and fund-raising,” said Bongani.

Tickets for the Love Potion concert are available at Computicket.
