Peermont CSI Awards Winners.

Last Friday evening, August 17, a popular hospitality and gaming group, Peermont Hotels Casinos Resorts, hosted its annual Community Social Investment (CSI) Awards ceremony in a glittering evening at Emperors Palace.

The annual awards are meant to celebrate and recognise hard-working people who make Peermont CSI community projects a success. The theme of the fourth annual Peermont CSI Awards was: “100 years of Madiba.”

In the typical spirit of the legacy of this great African icon and leader, the function highlighted how Peermont’s properties, Trusts and CSI projects, in keeping with Madiba’s vision, are committed to helping transform the lives of communities.

The awards recipients came from different areas in Kathorus – Katlehong, Palm Ridge and Germiston. Fortune Kunene Primary Aftercare Centre in Vosloorus, Nageng Primary School, Tembimfundo Primary School, School Governing Body representatives and Aftercare practitioners, were among the institutions and people who received awards.

Each winner was individually acknowledged for their contribution to their community development projects.

There was also a galaxy of young academic achievers who obtained success in their studies. Their success was made possible by the helpful hand of the Peermont CSI projects. Among them were Kekana Mathobela and Miranda Kgadi who were recognised for obtaining their NQF Level 4 qualifications. Kgomotso Dibetso, with Hospital management Management Diploma and LLB degree, and Busisiwe Masangemi, BSc in biological sciences, were also acknowledged for their dedication to education.
