Sesi Khumalo, the organiser, said the purpose of the event was to take children off the streets.

“We want them not to end up doing wrong things, like taking dangerous drugs,” said Khumalo.

She said most of the children in the township were talented.

“Others are not even aware that they are talented because there is no one who compliments them on their abilities.

“As a result they end up on the street because their talents are not nurtured at a young age.

“With this event we wanted to compliment kids on their talents and encourage them to make a living out of them,” Khumalo told Kathorus MAIL.

Khumalo pleaded with local businessmen and women to come on board and support the concert in future. They can do so by contacting her on 061 178 3874.
