Born and raised in Vosloorus, Siyakha Tshayela, a vocalist and songwriter, has graced the music industry for 12 years.
She started singing at the young age of 11, backing local musicians.
Her manager, Teddy Mnguni, said Siyakha was exposed to an array of musical influences while she was growing up, from Afro-soul and pop to RnB and gospel, but her strength lies in jazz.
“Her love for music was so strong that she went to music school,” said Teddy.
Siyakha currently features on Benjamin Dube’s Live DVD and is also working with Joyous Celebration.
“I have shared the stage with the likes of Ringo Madlingozi, Siphokazi Mohapi and other gospel stars, including Ntokozo Mbambo, Benjamin Dube and others,” Siyakha said.
She is certain the community of Kathorus will not regret buying tickets to her show.
Siyakha will hold her live concert at Khaya Family Church in Katlehong.
