Little Miss and Mr Chris Hani Crossing Mall auditions held
Little Miss and Mr Chris Hani Crossing Mall auditions were held on September 16 in Vosloorus
Children between six and 12 years of age accompanied by their parents, came in their numbers for auditions .
Lebo Matlala, the manager at Chris Hani Crossing Mall, explained the purpose of the event.
“We want children to have fun and enjoy shopping with their parents,” said Matlala.
She said the day was about fun for both parents and their children. “Even people who are passing by are enjoying themselves.
Matlala said they were not looking for any special qualities in finalists
“We do not need professionals. We just want children who look like they want to do this – not children who were told by parents to come for auditions,” said Matlala.
Matlala said she was excited about the turnout.
“We didn’t expect to have so many entries by this time of the day,” said Matlala.
By 12pm they had received more than 40 entries.
“35 children are going to participate in the finals,” an excited Matlala told Kathorus MAIL.
Both Dineo Motloung and Lindokuhle Cindi who had been chosen as queens during Miss Little Chris Hani 2015 and 2016, were present to wish all the contestants good luck.
The finals will take place on October 28.
