Young musician is making his mark

A young Kathorus musician is making his mark on the music industry.

During an interview with Kathorus MAIL, Mandla Mvuzo Mthethwa told about his journey as ‘Triple M’ in the music industry.

“I am a producer and rapper from Ramokonopi West in Katlehong. I am originally from Richards Bay in KZN, where I was born on March 18, 2000.

“I moved to Joburg with my father in 2001. I was raised by him with the help of my step-mom,” said Triple M.

He said he started to rap early in 2015.

“At that time I was just doing it without a stage name. Later that year I discovered that I should give myself a name. I called myself Triple M because of my two names that start with an M and my surname also starts with an M,” he said.

Triple M said he still uses the stage name today.

He said that since 2015 he has released five singles and many freestyle CDs.

“My project has seven tracks and is titled Path Way ll.

“I have a brother, Heat Roc, who lives in Ratanda and is also a rapper,” he said.

He said where he comes from, not everyone is into music.

“I am trying my best to make them listen to the local talent.”

Triple M said music is his life and that he forgets all his problems once he finishes recording a new track

“I’m a humble guy, respectful, loving and caring of others.”

He has also won best-dressed at a hip-hop fashion show.

Triple M said his music can be downloaded from Instagram (triple_mthe_cheesy_sa) or on Soundcloud (Mpumi TripleM Mthethwa).

“I have so far released freestyles whereby I was just rapping and nothing serious. But I have tracks that can motivate people,” he said.
