The Incredible Happenings Church, also known as Mboro’s Church, held a prayer for rain on Sunday, November 6 in Katlehong. The prayer was attended by the national minister of water and sanitation, Nomvula Mokonyane, and the executive mayor of Ekurhuleni, Clr Mzwandile Masina.
The prayer comes as drought persists in the country, threatening to rapidly deplete the water resources.
The City of Ekurhuleni began implementing water rationing measures from Monday, November 7, between 9pm and 5am, in order to conserve water.
Residents are urged to use water sparingly.
