Strictly Come Dancing: Nkuli reaches top three

Nkululeko Tshirambula, an Alberton resident, competed in the eighth season of Strictly Come Dancing.

ALBERTON – Nkululeko Tshirambula, a long-time Alberton resident and television actor, competed as one of the finalists in the eighth season of Strictly Come Dancing.

The finale of the dancing competition was televised on SABC 3 on Friday, August 8.

Nkululeko, whose fans know him as Nkuli, matriculated from Alberton Technical College in 2007 before he won the coveted title of Mr Alberton. This brush with show business motivated him to pursue a career in entertainment.

After completing a national diploma in financial administration at the Tshwane University of Technology, Nkuli landed the role of Sanele on Muvhango. He has served in the role of ambassador for CSquared Carducci and was crowned Mzanzi’s Sexiest Man in 2014.

Nkuli enjoys cooking, going to the gym, listening to music and reading in his spare time. He appeared nude in the 2015 Marie Claire Naked issue.

“I stepped out of my comfort zone and even though I am leaving the competition now – I did it,” Nkuli said as he graciously bowed out of the competition.
