EFC 90 produces spectacular fights

EFC 90 delivered action-packed fights, with most having decisive finishes.

The landmark event took place on November 6 at the EFC Performance Institute in Johannesburg.

The night saw a total of 11 fights.

Performance bonuses went to Jaco du Plessis and Nicholas Hwende. Fight of the Night was between Kier Harvie and Tumisang Madiba.

The main bantamweight championship event was won by Sindile Manengela, who defeated Faeez Jacobs via split decision (48-47, 47-48, 48-47).

Bantamweight: Nicholas Hwende defeated Taka Mhandu via submission in R2 (rear naked choke).

Heavyweight: Nico Yamdjie defeated Papa Ibrahima Ndour via TKO in R1 (strikes).

Middleweight: Jaco du Plessis defeated Robo Ambamba via submission in R2 (armbar).

Lightweight: Boule Godogo defeated Masefi Ngoma via TKO in R1 (strikes).

Welterweight: Wallace Okosso defeated Peace Nguphane via DQ (illegal strikes to back of head).

Lightweight: Guelor Sondi defeated Warren Richards via KO in R1 (strikes).

Heaveyeight: Sholto Luiters defeated Simon Harle via KO in R1.

Welterweight: Given Majuba defeated Qaasim Coetzee via KO in R1.

Lightweight: Guide Moyo defeated Tshepo Majuba via TKO in R2 (ground and pound).

EFC 91 Zulu vs Biko for the vacant EFC flyweight championship takes place on December 4 from the EFC Performance Institute in Johannesburg.
