Two players, Sibusiso Sibiya from Lethulwazi Secondary School and Kagiso Moshikaro from Erasmus Monareng School, both players from Vosloorus, were part of the Olympic Paint Superman team.

Thatelo said his team played well on the day.

“For them to play such a tough game and not lose even a single wicket, mean my players gave their all in this game.

“I don’t want to undermine our opponents. They gave us a run for our money. They did their best, but our bowlers dominated,” said Thatelo.

He said this was a good achievement for his team and for himself.

“This was the ninth instalment of the LPL, but our team was participating for the first time in it. For us to go all the way to the finals is a remarkable achievement. It is an achievement for me as a person because it is for the first time that a township coach has won such a decorated trophy,” an excited Thatelo told Kathorus MAIL.
