Softball league games held in Attrigeville

Gauteng Softball League (GASA) Super League 2017-2018 season games were played at Attridgeville Diamond Grounds on Saturday, September 16.

Ten teams including Generals, Tembisa Classics, Makomonise, Jumpers, Jetp, Bulls, Vosloorus Hunters and TUT played on the day.

Locals Vosloorus Hunters took on their opponents Jetp and defeated them 7-4.

According to Vosloorus Hunters chief of staff Muzi Mahlodi the players performed at their utmost best on the day.

“We are still a developing team with a large number of young players in our team. But the way the players played one would not tell that some of them were inexperienced,” said Mahlodi.

Mahlomedi singled out two youngest players on the field who impressed the crowd.

“Thabo Pholowa (18) and Neo Mahane (16) are the future of this team.

“They are dedicated and they are always there wherever we play and are our hope for the future. These players are promising that one day they will take our team to a higher level,” said Mahlomedi.

Mahlomedi wished the two youngest players the best in their careers.

“I will be happy to see them playing for the best team in the world or make this team one of the best in the country. They have the ability to do so,” said Mahlomedi.
