CoE’s response

City of Ekurhuleni’s spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said they are working with their computers and information technology department to find better solutions on the instability of the network.

“We do experience the network being unstable, especially with the current load-shedding schedules. The library cadets at the library are part of the Presidential Employment Programme and they are there to assist school children with homework in the afternoons as well as assist the Grade 11 and 12s,” he said.

Dlamini said the number of cleaners will be redeployed to other facilities and that currently, permanent staff are four staff members plus the cadets until December.
