Surviving lockdown: exercise

A few days into the lockdown, I realised I missed exercising.

Certain things we took for granted during our weekly routine have become impossible during lockdown.

Some things you realise you can actually do without and then there are some you miss a lot.

A few days into the lockdown, I realised I missed exercising.

Having visited the gym at least three times a week prior to the lockdown, the sudden loss of this stress-relieving activity had me slightly agitated.

After all, it is a known fact that exercise releases endorphins into your system.

So I was stuck with a predicament. How would I exercise during the lockdown?

The solution I came up with was to work a little bit of exercise into everything.

During games, losing points meant ‘penalty’ push-ups, a quick jog around the house when taking out some trash and even a bit of pilates while watching television.

While it was not the heavy workout I was craving, the bit of exercise definitely made me feel better.

What have you been doing to get some exercise during the lockdown?
