I would like to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues in the firefighting fraternity for the wonderful job they did in Dunswart, Boksburg. The chemical factory that was vigorously burning was skillfully handled.
Adjacent structures were well protected. Tactical approach saved what was to be a catastrophe, working in such an environment in the presence of sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid and other corrosive and flammable chemicals in their hundreds of litres.
You guys did a wonderful job. I am proud of you all. The coordination and teamwork won at the end of the day. Keep up the good work.
