Unite with women not against women

Unite with women not against women

I think it is time for our societies and the world to stop “chanting” the slogan; “stop violence against women and children” as if it is some national anthem.

For a long time now the public has been told to “stop violence against women and children” but daily women and children are being abused.

Why does pain and fear have to be normalised and why should women and children suffer in silence?

Any form of abuse against women and children is totally wrong.

How are we building a prosperous, democratic and united society if violence against women and children continues?

It is not possible for bruised, unhappy and violated women to raise healthy children or a child with a brighter future.

A happy women/mother creates a happy home.

We need a socially cohesive society where women can walk freely in the street, while our children can play safely outside without fear.

Everyone in our communities must be able to live in harmony.

We need to unite men, women and children everyone regardless of gender, race and status.

Unity is power, let us all stand against violence against women and children.

And it is also important for women to speak out when being abused and the law should take its course.

Parents and the members of the community should assure children that they are safe.

Nothing is impossible, united we can.
