Re-invent yourself and claim your greatness!

"When people hurt you over and over, think of them as sandpaper. They scratch you and hurt you, but later, you will be shining and polished, while they end up useless." - Unknown

Everybody does it at some stage – upgrade. We do it with phones, we do it with cars and with houses. We upgrade our CVs, our clothes and our hairstyles. And guess what? We also have to upgrade our goals, our thinking and our lives.

Once you have achieved one set of goals, you have to move on. Re-inventing yourself is all about upgrading; about becoming more and better than you were previously. It’s about climbing to the next level. Nelson Mandela explained that once you reach the top of the mountain, you realise that there are many other mountains to climb. Why limit yourself to only one mountain.

You have to know that winners make things happen while losers just let them happen. Ask yourself the following questions every day: Am I still on track regarding the purpose of my life? How can I improve my life? How can I be more productive? How can I be more resourceful? How can I contribute more to society? Where else can I make a difference? Asking yourself these critical questions will ensure that you keep searching for ways to improve yourself and your life. Yes, it’s easier to stay stuck on the same level. It takes effort to re-invent yourself but do it anyway.

Many of us don’t go to the next level of our greatness because of self-doubt and we stay stuck. Greatness is a choice we have to make every day. By continuously challenging and raising the bar on yourself, you discover parts of you that you never knew. Your true life happens outside the ‘comfort zone’.
