Nyaope harms the youth

The destruction caused by the drug “nyaope” on the country's young people will have to be stopped soon before it causes more harm and danger to the rest of society.

It has become obvious that the drug “nyaope” is the cause of a majority of petty crimes committed by unemployed young people in the townships. And unless authorities take drastic steps against dealers who trade and supply the drug, society and the government could be faced with a bigger problem in rehabilitating the growing numbers of nyaope addicts, especially with the call to legalise the drug.

In fact, the reckless call to legalise nyaope should be taken with a pinch of salt, nipped in the bud and stopped in its tracks by social activities and other role players, including the police.
