What gets you fired up every day?

"Do not blame the quality of the results, blame the quality of the questions." - Veli Ndaba

One question I normally ask people who come for my coaching sessions is: “If your kids were to come running to you, to tell you that when they grow up they want to be exactly like you. Would you be happy and proud of them?”

Almost all the people I have asked this question said: “No.” On asking why they wouldn’t be happy, they said they wouldn’t like their kids to repeat the same errors in judgement as them.

What is crystal clear from this response is that people know they are not doing their best, they have settled for mediocrity. Some blame the system, politics, weather, taxes, parents and others even blame their dogs for living low lives.

You cannot just be casual and only search in obvious places when searching for a key to open the locked door separating you from something that your life depends on. You must search everywhere diligently.

I have said it before that most people never achieve their dreams and goals not because they lack resources but because they lack resourcefulness (creativity).

You may have always believed that this world owes something (error in judgement), well, let me tell you something for free, this world owes you nothing.

I mean nothing, so stop complaining and come alive. Do something that will make this world a much better place than you found it, you are fully capable.
