Musicians honoured at Mmino Wa Clap N Tap Awards

The Katlehong township witnessed the first-ever Mino Wa Clap N Tap Awards (MWCNTA) held in the township at Hurricane Lifestyle Pub and Grill, on October 27.

The Mmino Wa Clap N Tap Awards (MWCNTA) recognised and honored the finest Clap and Tap music artists, albums and key stakeholders, at a ceremony at Hurricane Lifestyle Pub and Grill, Katlehong, on October 27.

At least 44 artists from in and around Kathorus townships were honoured with accolades for their contribution in the music industry.

Many music lovers dressed up to attend the highly anticipated awards ceremony for the first time in the township.

The eighth annual national MWCNTA category winners for 2023 are:

• Finest school choir: Alafang High School.

• Finest positive influencer: Thapelo Teffo.

• Finest female vocalist: Norah Mazibuko.

• Finest emerging choir: Boitumelo Gospel Choir.

• Finest anthem sing-along: Together as One Church Choir.

• Finest music video: Ingqayizivele Gospel Choir – Ntate Lerato La Hao

• Finest album: Bohale Ba Tumelo Gospel Choir

• Finest most improved choir: Truly Gospel Choir

• Finest manager: King Romeo Tshabalala – Impumelelo Ya Basha GC

• Finest male vocalist: Vuyo Mditshane – Bless Them All Group

• Finest conductor: Masechaba Maloka

• Finest song: Morate Mosebeletse – Bacha Ba Botshepehi YD

•Tiny Maria Mine Merit Award winners are Vuyokazi Vem Mesilane, Boitumelo Paulinah Banda, Irvin Mollo Chauke and Butana Dan Dikutle.

•Stephen Mathosa Lifetime Award winners are Irvin Vusi Mngomezulu, Mosuwe Piba Tukane and Seun Jeremiah Nkosi.
