Countdown Eighth Annual Mmino wa Clap n Tap Awards

The Eighth Annual Mmino wa Clap n Tap Awards (EAMCTA) nomination list has been officially announced.

Music supporters can start voting for their favourite artists and choirs ahead of the award ceremony. The much-anticipated event will be held on October 27 at Hurricane Life Style in Katlehong.

Nominees for finest school choir of the year are Alafang High School, Thuto Lesedi Secondary, Sijabulile Secondary, Fumana Comprehensive, Lethukuthula Secondary, Vezukhono Secondary School, Ponego High, BB Myathaza Secondary School and Caiphus Secondary School.

The finest emerging choir nominees are Survivors of God Army, Uprising Voices, The Mighty Worshippers, Orange Farm Hold Joint, Boitumelo Gospel Choir, Tshwane Melodic Singers, Holy Mighty Messengers, Bright Generation, The New Jerusalem, Riphidim Gospel Singers, New Creation and Holly Spirit.

Ingqayizivele Gospel Choir also known as Zing Fam.

Nominees for finest album of the year are Bardrisi ba Morena, Isaac and Mighty Messengers, Survivors of God Army, Sediba sa Matshidiso, Batshehetsi ba Lentswe, the mighty Worshippers, Tshebedisano Mmoho, Together as One, St Michael Church Choir, Voices of Prosperity, Bohale ba Tumelo and Corinthians Church Choir.
