City of Ekurhuleni puts tradition upfront

The groups can enter for dance or music and will stand a chance to win fantastic prizes.

The CoE called on school children passionate about traditional dance and music to showcase their skills on stage for various prizes when it hosts the Traditional Dance and Music Competition at the Germiston Stadium on September 27.

School groups from Grades Three to 11 can participate. They must have proof of their previous performances and be willing to take their talents to the next level.

To enter, groups must submit a two-minute video of their current work to CoEArts@ekurhuleni.gov.za by 16:00 on September 15.

Include your group or school name, contact details and address.

The competition will take place from 10:00.
