Germiston Magistrate’s Court sends Lindokuhle Filda to jail for seven years

Alberton Sergeant Malesela Moseki finally closes off an investigation after the magistrate's court sent Lindokuhle to prison.

After exactly two years of seeking justice, Nkosinathi Mazibuko was happy when Germiston Magistrate’s Court sent Lindokuhle Filda to jail for hijacking.

Lindokuhle was sent to prison for seven years for theft of a motor vehicle.

The Leondale resident Nkosinathi’s car was stolen by his friend, Lindokuhle, on November 6, 2020.

According to the investigation officer, Sergeant Malesela Moseki, the matter was reported to Alberton SAPS. The statement shared by the complainant stated that he and the friend met for drinks and the friend spiked Nkosinathi’s drink and then later stole his Ford Ranger.

“This was one of the most difficult cases I had to deal with because the culprit was nowhere to be found. While attending a different court proceeding in Germiston, I learnt that Lindokuhle was also in the same courtroom attending a similar case to the one that he had committed in 2020. I told the prosecutor not to release him,” said Moseki.

Lindokuhle was then arrested.

“Nothing brings more joy than finishing what you had started and bringing justice for victims. I am happy with the court’s verdict,” Moseki said.

The hijacked vehicle was found and retuned to Nkosinathi.
