Suspects arrested after hijacked truck found with male body

Quick action leads to arrests.

On March 4, Germiston Flying Squad received a call that a truck was hijacked and en route to Heidelberg on the R103.

Germiston Flying Squad members found the truck and managed to pull it over.

The SAPS members found three males in the truck.

Upon investigation, they found one of the males dead in the truck.

The other two males were unable to give a satisfactory reason as to why they were in the truck and why there is a deceased man in the truck.

The suspects also had the deceased male’s belongings in their possession.

After further investigation, they saw the deceased suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

The owner of the truck was contacted and confirmed that the deceased male was the initial driver of the truck.
Upon further searching the truck, a revolver was found with live ammunition.

The two suspects were arrested. They will appear in the Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court soon.

Revolver and live ammunition were confiscated by SAPS members.
