Fake Ekurhuleni water restrictions schedule fill social media
After Rand Water announced the difficulties they are posed to with water supply in Gauteng, some individuals took this as an advantage to provide the community with an untrue water restrictions schedule.
Alberton’s Ward 106 Clr Tim Denny warns residents to be alert of a false water-shedding schedule circulating on social media platforms.
Apparently, the schedule is aimed at notifying residents about the times residents can expect the water to be interrupted.
According to Tim, a water-shedding schedule is being posted by many individuals and the shared timetable is from 2017.
“Residents should avoid sharing this schedule and should ignore it,” said Tim.
Appropriate information will be communicated to residents in due course should anything happen.
