Traffic interruption on the M2 due to road resurfacing works

For 16 days, there will be delays on M2 Motorway.

The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) notify motorists of anticipated traffic delays on the M2 (eastbound) due to road resurfacing works scheduled from August 15 to 31.

Motorists are urged to adhere to the road signage and maintain a safe following distance when travelling towards the Maritzburg Road, New Goch Road and Ruven Road off-ramps, as the teams will be working on the shoulder and slow lanes between 09:00 and 15:00 daily.

The resurfacing project is in its fourth phase, which includes sections of the East and West bound between the New Goch Road and Maritzburg Road off-ramps. While the affected lanes will be temporarily closed off to traffic for the duration of the project, two lanes will be open to traffic.

Further updates on phase four of the resurfacing works will be communicated as the project progresses.

The JRA wishes to thank road users in advance for their patience and cooperation.
