City identifies major leak affecting water supply in Alberton

The City of Ekurhuleni has identified a major water leak that is affecting water supply in parts of Alberton.

As a result, the City has introduced the following emergency taps at 73 Eekhoring Street, Albertsdal, 16 Weyers Street in Alrode South and Corner Abrams and Jackson Street, Edenpark.

Speaking for the CoE, Zweli Dlamini said the City wishes to apologise for any inconveniences caused.

“There are also JoJo tanks at Leopards Rest, Tinasonke extensions three and four as well as Eden Park Police Station. Three water tankers are also roving around the area and filling up the JoJo tanks,” he said.
