Members of Alberton SAPS registered a murder case on February 19 after the death of a trio at one of their policing precincts in Leondale.
This comes after a trio said to be in a blue Volkswagen Polo were shot at and were declared dead by paramedics on the scene.
According to Capt Manare Ramotshela of Alberton SAPS, the victims in the car were two men and a woman who were said to have been buying drinks before being gunned down.
“It’s alleged that there was a car parked next to the victim’s car, they asked the people in it to give them a right of way. One of them in a passenger seat became aggressive and started shooting in the direction of the victims. The victims were certified dead,” he said.
Alberton SAPS is asking for any information in finding the culprit. The suspect is said to have been driving a light blue Isuzu.
