BLAF continues to raise funds for local performing artists

BLAF needs at least R1 000 for transport and food to attend auditions for a show called Shashalazi Theatre Festival at Germiston Theatre. So far, it was able to raise R220.

Local theatre production Bheka Loyal Artists Foundation (BLAF) from Vosloorus will continue with its De Mission fundraiser play after the auditions for Shashalazi Theatre Festival were postponed from October 23 and 24 to October 30 and 31.

The postponement has granted BLAF the opportunity to continue raising the much-needed funds to assist artists to attend auditions. BLAF began with its three-day fundraiser last week at the Tennis Court Hall in Zulu Section, Vosloorus.

According to the founder of BLAF, Brian Mazibuko, on the first day, it was a no show as people did not attend, the second show had at least six attendees while the last one saw support from five community members.
