The Zonkizizwe SAPS is appealing to members of the public around Kathorus to assist them in tracing the family or relatives of a male whose badly decomposed body was found next to the Vlakplaats railway line outsize Zonkizizwe.
According to Sgt Rufus Tema, the spokesperson for Zonkizizwe SAPS, the body was found by a passer-by on February 8.
“An inquest was later opened and detectives have since tried numerous means to trace the dead man’s family or next of kin,” said Tema, who said the body is at the government mortuary.
Tema said the deceased is estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old. He was found wearing black jeans, a black belt with no shoes and a black T-shirt.
