The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to inform customers in Thokoza that it is aware of the prevailing water supply interruption resulting in no water.
This is due to a burst 600mm water pipe at corner Nkaki and Yende streets in Thokoza.
Our water technical teams worked throughout the night to try and minimise water loss. This morning, work has resumed replacing the collar with the clamp on the damaged bulk pipeline.
The time for completion of repairs has not yet been established.
Water tankers have been dispatched and are allocated as follows:
• One water tanker is stationed at Thokoza Police Station
• One water tanker is stationed at the Thokoza soccer grounds next to Shoprite and Shell Garage
• Two water tankers will be roving around Thokoza
The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to apologise for the inconvenience caused.
