Alleged heroin dealer nabbed

Police found five brown plastics containing heroin in his right trouser pocket.

Police arrested a 33-year-old male suspect for possessing drugs at Heidelberg Taxi Rank on April 5.

Orange Farm SAPS members Sgt Nosipho Molise, Const Thembinkosi Hlatshwayo and Const Siphiwe Nkutha were conducting police visibility and crime prevention at the Heidelberg CBD, around 4 pm.

The officers received information about a man who had heroin drugs.

Police found the described man. While searching him, they found five brown plastics containing heroin in his right trouser pocket.

The Sedibeng District corporate communications officer, Capt Thivhulawi Tshilate, confirmed the arrest of the 33-year-old.

The suspect will appear in Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court soon.
