Ekurhuleni district commissioner Leshabane retires

Leshabane is passing the baton to Maj-Gen Anna Mateisi, who has shown dedication and passion for her work.

After serving the community of Gauteng for many years, Maj-Gen Vincent Leshabane is handing over his badge and waving goodbye to his work and subordinates.

Ekurhuleni district SAPS management bade their farewell to the district commissioner on March 23 in Spruitview.

The Ekurhuleni district SAPS communications officer, Capt Neldah Sekgobela, said the management wished Leshabane well in his retirement, adding they have learnt a lot from him.

“He will always be remembered for motivating the young officers to work very hard, study, to grow to make their mark, serve the community with pride and not to take bribes,” said Sekgobela.

She said Leshabane is passing the baton to Maj-Gen Anna Mateisi, who has shown dedication and passion for her work.

Besides serving the community of Ekurhuleni, Leshabane also worked at Alexandra SAPS and Gauteng provincial office.
