Heidelberg community invests in safety

CPF and community members help repair the blue light at Heidelberg Police Station to assist people to be able to find the police station quicker at night.

Heidelberg CPF offered a helping hand in repairing and installing the damaged blue light in front of Heidelberg Police Station on March 9.

The Bergsig Sector Crime Forum chairperson and Heidelberg CPF executive member, George Booker, and his son, George Booker Jnr, with community members, offered a helping hand to repair and install the light.

The colour of the blue lamp had faded away and the bulb holder was not functioning.

They also repaired the police signage board that had fallen two weeks ago.

The generous CPF members also took the initiative to clean and cut the lawn around the police station’s premises.
Booker said the police station is the heart of people’s safety and the first line of service delivery.

The appearance of the police station gives confidence to the clients acquiring good quality service and comfortability, he added.

Heidelberg SAPS station commander Col Phiwe Ndwandwe welcomes the good working partnership.
