Three suspects arrested for possession of dagga

Police found compressed dagga weighing 21.2kg, valued at R4 000.

The Gauteng Flying Squad Germiston Unit arrested three male suspects for possession of dagga valued at R4 000 along the N3 freeway at De Hoek Plaza south of Heidelberg town, on March 9.

While conducting a stop-and-search, Flying Squad members WO Motlowane, Sgt Solly Chabalala and Sgt Khanyile stopped a silver VW Golf. They found a black plastic refuse bag in the boot as they searched the vehicle.

Police opened to check what was inside and found compressed dagga weighing 21.2kg and valued at R4 000.

The suspects were arrested for possession of dagga.

The Heidelberg SAPS station commander, Col Phiwe Ndwandwe, commended the impressive work done by the members of the Flying Squad Germiston Unit.

The suspects will appear in Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court soon.
